Get a whiff of this—director Robert Rodriguez nose knows everyone is going to think his upcoming new Spy Kids flick stinks.
And he wants it that way.
Why? Because...

He hopes to take audiences to the fourth dimension with the ability to smell Spy Kids 4: All the Time in the World. A ticket to the latest installment of the hit franchise (in theaters Aug. 19) comes with an Aromascope card. As a number flashes on the screen, moviegoers will rub the corresponding number on the card and—voilà!—the scent is released.
"Now that everybody is doing 3-D, I was like, 'We gotta do something else. I want to go the fourth dimension,'" Rodriguez told me earlier today.
He thought back to the time he saw the "Odorama" version of John Waters' Polyester in 1982. "It was the older technology of Scratch and Sniff where everything smelled the same by the third sniff," Rodriguez said. "But it's changed a lot. The new technology is amazing. Smells don't mix together. I was happy and relieved to find that great minds have actually been working on it."
Rodriguez promises Spy Kids (starring folks like Jessica Alba, Jeremy Piven and E!'s own Joel McHale) will offer a wide range of scents. "When we asked kids about it, they said, 'You gotta do something really gross,'" Rodriguez said, laughing. "We do have a Spy Dog and a Spy Baby, so you could kind of figure out where it can go."
In other words, expect Spy Kids 4 to be a real gas.

While Anna Paquin is totally cool with her bisexuality, she knows there are plenty of people out there who aren't.
But that's something she's trying to change...

"Frankly, no one had ever asked me before," the True Blood starlet tells V magazine's Transformation Issue (hitting stands July 7) of her 2010 bisexual admission. "My sexuality is something I'm completely comfortable with and open about. There's a lot of prejudice toward us but the more people talk about it, the less of a big deal it will be. And that will be better for everyone."
While Paquin's True Blood character Sookie Stackhouse has yet to engage in any same-sex loving, she has had plenty of steamy screen time with costar and real-life hubby Stephen Moyer. But it's not as awkward as you might think.
"Maybe it should be weird, simulating sex with your husband in front of people," she admits. "But it's really not. When it's a love scene with someone you actually love, there's no feeling like, 'Can I touch him here, can I touch him there?' You know what your boundaries are—or what they aren't, I suppose."
Another sexy something she's cool with? Fans worshipping Mr. Moyer.
"There is probably something wrong with me, but I find it amusing to watch these men and women fawn all over him," Paquin says. "It's not like anyone's really trying to do anything inappropriate. They just want him to hug them...or bite them."
Or, as Moyer recently told  Men's Health, "I get to sign boobs a lot. I get to bite boobs, occasionally, when I'm allowed."

Joe Jonas Goes Solo: I Got Advice From Bono!

It's not every day that Joe Jonas gets to chat with Bono.
So when the 21-year-old pop star met the U2 frontman, he made sure to take full advantage of the rare moment...

"I met Bono like a year and a half ago and I asked him for advice—if you're going to meet Bono, you got to ask him for advice," Jonas says. "He was like, 'Just write music that is brutally honest...Look at us, we're a band and we have countries that are mad at us because we write stuff that's honest and gets people really mad.'"
Not that Jonas is looking to piss off a nation or two. "Bono said, 'Take your relationships or whatever you're going through and just really try to make it a point to write honestly,'" he said.
As ya probably heard by now, Jonas has jumped into the solo pool.
The video for his first single, "See No More," will exclusively premiere on E! News tonight at 7 p.m. ET/PT. And we'll also be posting the vid here on E! Online at 8 p.m ET/5 p.m. PT.
Jonas cowrote the sing with Chris Brown. He says he had no apprehension working with the controversial hitmaker. "I think it had been a long time coming for us to try to get into the studio together," Jonas said. "He played me like a 100 songs and I played him like 30. We were like, let's get together and write. The next day we got together and two hours later we had 'See No More.'"

Remember the other day there was all that chatter about Brad Pitt wearing a wedding band?
As most his fans know by now, the little gold number has absolutely nothing to do with him marrying Angelina Jolie, but rather...

It's all about his work opposite The Killing's Mireille Enos, who plays Mr. Pitt's wife in World War Z.
And guess who we met for the first time the other day at the Critics' Choice Television Awards? Yup, Ms. Enos. While we didn't talk about her television series' controversial cliffhanger, we did get to chattin' about Brad.
Like Jessica Chastain had the pleasure of doing in The Tree of Life, Enos gets to lock lips with Angie's main man, too.
"There is a goodbye kiss, but no love scenes," Enos said. "Everybody is like, 'You have to take notes on that.'"
Um, that certainly doesn't sound like Enos' style. "It's just going to be another day at work," the redheaded beauty smiled. "He's the sweetest, loveliest guy."
She'll film with Pitt later this summer in London. (FYI: She'll probably have about a month of vacation before The Killing resumes shooting in November).
While the flick is about a zombie epidemic (Pitt plays a journalist trying to save his family and figure out what the heck is going on), it's no campy horror flick.
"It's about zombie apocalypse, but then it's also a really smart story about the political structure of the world and what our government does and doesn't deal with when there's a crisis situation," Enos explained. "It's action-packed and it's also super, super dark."

Shia LaBeouf (Finally) Confirms Megan Fox Hookup!

Shia LaBeouf isn't exactly kissing and telling about his time off the set with Megan Fox, but he is confirming their romance.
And you won't believe what he once did to a guy defending her honor.

"Look, you're on the set for six months, with someone who's rooting to be attracted to you, and you're rooting to be attracted to them," he says in the new issue of Details magazine after he apparently nodded "affirmatively" when asked if he and Fox hooked up. "I never understood the separation of work and life in that situation. But the time I spent with Megan was our own thing, and I think you can see the chemistry onscreen."
Whether or not she was involved with her now-husband Brian Austin Green at the time is still unclear. "It was what it was," LaBeouf says.
Despite all of the media attention given to LaBeouf and his bad-boy behavior, at least one major Fox incident never made it into the papers. "[H]e and Megan Fox were at a Taco Bell and the cashier made a rude comment to her and LaBeouf wound up going behind the register and whaling on the guy," according to Details.
Fox's rep declined to comment.
Other highlights of the story (and there are many!) include his admission that he and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen costar Isabel Lucas were "philandering around" during the time he rolled his truck in a late-night accident in L.A., he remains pals with ex Carey Mulligan and he once had dinner with Hilary Duff. "Probably the worst date either of us has ever had," he says.
LaBeouf also criticizes (once again) Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps.

He doesn't make any apologies for the numerous fights he's gotten into, even if they land him in handcuffs. He says he's an easy target.
"This is not to be comparing myself to [Leonardo] DiCaprio, but I remember the hatred for him when every girl I liked wanted to...," he says before pausing. "It's not extraordinary envy, like Robert Pattinson fan-worship s--t, but I do feel animosity from men. They feel like they want to challenge me. 'I just f--ked up Shia LaBeouf!' It's a story you can tell, and I guess you're cool for it."
But ya may want to think twice before instigating something with Mr. LaBeouf—just ask the dude at Taco Bell.

Jersey Housewives' Melissa Gorga: I Am Not a Gold Digger, Capisce?

Melissa Gorga is not a money-hungry monster.
And, the Real Housewives of New Jersey star says, her enemy-in-law Teresa Giudice knows this.
"When I hear her call me pretty much a gold digger, it's like putting a knife in my heart and twisting it, because I know that she knows that's not true," Melissa told me yesterday when she stopped by E! during her first trip to Los Angeles.

"Joe and I have been married for seven years and have three kids," Melissa explained. "We went through a time where we couldn't even buy diapers. We had to sell every house we lived in...Did I go anywhere? Would I ever? No. It hurts me that she would even put that out there, to put that in someone's head. And it doesn't even hurt me as bad as it hurts her brother."
Melissa insists things haven't always been so bad between her and Teresa. "Before the show came around, Teresa and bumped heads, but we always worked it out," she said. "It wasn't like we hated each other. We'd always be in the same rooms, but we never were best friends. You know, some people just don't click."
This Sunday's episode includes footage of them trying to talk things out. No surprise, but nothing was really resolved. "It's not her fault," she said of Teresa. "It's everyone's fault. What's so funny is everyone thinks most of the problem is between Teresa and I and it's not," she said. "It's between Joe and Teresa. I'm caught in the middle. The issues that Teresa and I have are ridiculous."
But hey, all the craziness has been worth it because Melissa has that singing career she's trying to launch. "The best part of being on the show is everything that's going on with the music," she says. "I can't deny it. It's put it to another level." (FYI: Her first single, "On Display," drops next month.)
She's also taking a page out of the Ramona Singer playbook. "I have a champagne that I'm coming out with," Melissa said. "It's called Magnifica Giornata and it stands for 'magnificent day.' It's like a motto, 'Every day's a magnificent day.'"
Not counting the day of her son's christening, of course.

Selena Gomez Meets Shia LaBeouf: Should Justin Bieber Be Worried?

Selena Gomez has finally met the man of her dreams.
And he's not Justin Bieber...

Gomez posted a video on YouTube last night that showed her meeting longtime celebrity crush Shia LaBeouf backstage at a television studio. The 18-year-old starlet came face-to-face with the Transformers bad boy, 25, for the first time after her handlers sneakily told her she was simply going to meet some fans in a dressing room.
"Oh my gosh," Gomez said when she saw LaBeouf, before quickly turning around and rushing out of the room.
"Hey, nice to meet you," LaBeouf said after running after her. "Hey, how are you? How you doin'? Thanks for being so sweet to me. You're really sweet to me."
A flustered Gomez told the actor, "I admire you." They took a couple of photos together before Gomez shuffled away into another room. "He's so cute," she said to her mom. "He's so handsome."
"I am so embarrassed," she added. "I walked right out."
LaBeouf's publicist, Melissa Kates, insists she had nothing to be red-faced about. "That's actually nice and refreshing to see somebody that genuine," Kates said. "Trust me, he likes it."
Can't help but wonder if the Biebster is also going to like it once he sees the video, especially after Gomez tweeted a link to it with the message, "Best...Day...Ever."
Gomez's crush on LaBeouf goes way back. In October 2008, a then-single Gomez shouted once shouted to reporters on a red carpet, "Let Shia know I'm available!"

Miley Cyrus & Liam Hemsworth Back On, but Does Billy Ray Approve?

We're so lovin' that Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are back together.
The singer and the Aussie hunkster were most recently spotted this weekend shopping in Sydney. He reportedly took a break from filming The Hunger Games in the U.S. to visit her while she's on tour Down Under.
While this relationship has seen its on days and off days, Miley's dad, Billy Ray, is pretty clear on how he feels about Mr. Hemsworth. Read on to find out what Papa Cyrus just told me…

"He's a great guy," Billy Ray said when he stopped by E! today to promote his new album, I'm American (out June 28). "He's solid. He's got great character."
No surprise, Billy Ray is all for Hemsworth as Gale Hawthorne in The Hunger Games. "Have you read that script?" he asked. "The script is killer, and Liam is going to knock it out of the park. He's a tremendous talent.
"And I have to tell you, on or off the record, he's just a good guy," he added. "He's just a really good guy. I really like him a lot."
Can't ask for better parental approval than that, can ya?
Billy Ray also revealed he wouldn't mind some more Hannah Montana in his life. "You know, there's wonderful buzz right now for a prequel to Hannah Montana," he smiled. "I know Miley couldn't step back and be that little girl, but I could get my mullet back real quick."
Sounds like the perfect project for the Billy Ray and Tish's youngest daughter, 11-year-old Noah Lindsey. Just sayin'.
It's not like the "Achy Breaky Heart" singer doesn't have plenty on his plate already. In addition to the new Stars & Stripes-infused album, he continues his decades-long mission to support the troops with Surprise Homecoming, a TLC series he hosts about American troops reuniting with their families that premieres on July 11.
"I do think I have accepted a bit of responsibility for our troops," said Cyrus, whose recording career was launched in 1992 with "Some Gave All," a hit song in honor of Vietnam vets. "I feel like I can be a voice. I can be a voice for our veterans and I'll carry that torch to the best of my ability. [Surprise Homecoming] helps me take a step closer to fulfilling my purpose. Part of that purpose is saying thanks and making sure the troops get the recognition that they deserve."

Challenge. "We're like, we need to jazz him up a little bit. We gotta get him a little diamond action going on. But we don't know if that's too girly."
Fans of KUWTK know that Jenner tried to prove he was hip to the family last season by getting a new haircut, nightclubbing with Rob and yes, getting his ears pierced.
"Robert wears diamond studs," she added. "Bruce makes fun of Rob for wearing them, so we don't know if that's a good present or not."
As for this weekend's Father's Day festivities, Khloé says it won't be a big Kardashian family blow out.
"I asked Bruce what he wants to do and he's like, 'just play golf,'" she said. "So I might watch Kendall and Kylie for him while he goes to play golf. He's the easiest person. He doesn't care."

Luckily, that isn't the case.
"Once they yell action, you're a werewolf and you're not thinking about it," he says of stripping down. "But before, there's a boom guy crouched behind you at ass level."

"He's the best of his generation," Albert Brooks told reporters of Gosling at the L.A. Film Festival premiere of their new flick Drive, in which Gosling plays a tight-lipped bad boy getaway-car driver.
"I get Taxi Driver, what De Niro was like back then," Brooks says of watching Gosling work. "I haven't worked with De Niro since, but, you know, it was a character that was like all to himself and he never spoke. And he never spoke during the film. He just went off and sat down, and Ryan was pretty much like that."
So what does Gosling think of Brooks comparison?
"I asked him to do that," joked the Notebook actor. "I mean that's an honor. It's crazy talk, but it's an honor."

"She has wanted this very badly," Mad Men creator Matthew Weiner told me at yesterday's inaugural Critics' Choice Television Awards at the Beverly Hills Hotel. "She's got a big heart and she's been talking about having children since I met her, which is not always common with actresses.
"I think she's going to be amazing," he continued. "She is going to be someone is going to be so devoted."
Weiner remained tightlipped about how the pregnancy will—or will not—be dealt with on the show, "I have to do something about it, but I'm not going to tell," he said. "It could be laundry baskets or it could be a body double. There are a million things you can do."
In other Mad Men news, you have already heard that star Jon Hamm is set to direct an upcoming episode. "We've been talking about it for a long time," Weiner said. "I'm very excited by it. He's on set more than anybody. He's a very creative person and he's sophisticated artistically. He's very involved. No one is surprised that this is the next step for him."

Olivia Wilde: "I Am Dating a Celebrity"

Olivia Wilde is one lucky lady.
Not only has she been recently linked to Justin Timberlake, Bradley Cooper and Jeremy Renner, but also her next couple movies include two of the absolute hottest men in Hollywood.
We'll get to her costars in a second, but let's have Ms. Wilde set the record straight on her love life...
She only has one man in her life right now.
"My boyfriend is Paco," she told me last night at the Maui Film Festival, where she was honored with the female Shining Star award.

"He was actually the Old Navy dog in 2005, so he gets recognized on the street," she said. "So I am dating a celebrity—he's just a dog."

Now for some real hunka-chunka male hotness, Wilde costars in Jon Favreau's sci-fi western Cowboys & Aliens. She plays a gunslinging "bad-ass" cowgirl.
Costar Daniel Craig provides very appreciated eye candy goodness. "He is the most beautiful man on earth," Wilde said. "He really is."
He filled his chaps quite nicely, according to Wilde. "They kept making them tighter," she laughed. "You could tell we had female executives because he kept getting tighter pants and he would have random shirtless scenes. We were like, 'Yes, finally the ladies are in charge!'"
And then there's Ryan Reynolds. He may appear practically naked in more movies than most of Hollywood's leading men these days, but not in The Change-Up. "He's not shirtless—I'm shirtless!" Wilde said.
But that's OK because, she smiled, "I got enough of Daniel to keep me going for a year."
After last night's award presentation and a showing of Sun City Picture House, a documentary short about building a movie theater in Haiti she coproduced with Maria Bello, Wilde headed to the Relativity party, where she hung out with fellow honorees Andrew Garfield and Garrett Hedlund and Relativity boss man Ryan Cavanaugh.
"It's really cool because it's gotten to the point now where I'm not the newcomer award," Wilde said. "It's kind of like, 'Wow, you've done enough that we can see you might stick around for awhile.'"

"I'm really excited," Greer said. "I'm so happy."
And we couldn't be happier for you.
PS: Greer is one busy lady. Her next big films include The Descendants opposite George Clooney. Then there's Jeff Who Lives at Home with Ed Helms and the recently wrapped Playing the Field costarring Gerard Butler and Jessica Biel.

And I'm not talking about while he's filming Spider-Man, the much anticipated reboot in which the Social Network star takes on the role of Peter Parker and his superhero alter ego.

"It was so long, man," Garfield exclusively told me this weekend at the Maui Film Festival, where he was honored with the Shining Star Award. "It's crazy. I feel like I lost a sense of myself for awhile...It was very hard work. I worked my butt off."
It certainly shows in that one—and only—still that Sony has released of Garfield in his skintight Spidey suit.
"I saw it before that image was going to be released," Garfield said. "[Director Marc Webb] slipped me a little copy of it. I had to catch my breath a little. It was very very exciting. It was surreal."
If that was surreal, one could only imagine what Garfield will be feeling when the movie is released. When I asked if he's ready for the fandemonium, he joked, "Wouldn't it be funny if there was like no one there? Wouldn't that be brilliant and kind of hilarious?"
As if that would ever happen.
"I can be smoking a cigarette in a Spider-Man costume looking at the camera for two hours and going, 'I'm Spider-Man' and people will still want to see it because it's Spider-Man," Garfield said.
How true. Fortunately, the flick is nothing like that.
And let's not forget his awesomely cool love-interest costar, Emma Stone. "She's the kind of person who brings in cookies and banana bread," Garfield revealed.
So how are her baking skills? "She's getting there," he cracked.
If you haven't been able to tell, Garfield has a wicked sense of humor.
Talk of his so-called "bromance" with fellow Maui honoree and Tron hottie Garrett Hedlund really brings out the silly. "Garrett Hedlund is the worst," Garfield said, laughing. "He has no right to be here. I don't even understand it. I hate that guy."

The actor is revealing that struggled with bullying as a kid he, but chose to keep it a secret from his parents...

"I mean, when I was a kid I was bullied," O'Neill admitted during an interview airing tomorrow on HDNet's show Inside MMA.
"When I was bullied, there was a certain code of honor when you were a boy at school," he continued. "You didn't go get a teacher and complain about a guy that's bullying you because that was worse," he said.  "And I didn't tell me parents at home because I feel like my father would just say, ‘Well go fight the guy. I don't care how big he is.' So that was a problem. I didn't really know how to handle it myself."
As we previously reported, O'Neill's onscreen son, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, was also a victim of severe bullying, telling us he "lived everyday in fear."
"I left school in the eighth grade and I went to a different school," Ferguson said. "It was hard. It was a horrible, horrible experience."

Glee's Cory Monteith Reveals Drug Past: "I'm Lucky to Be Alive"

Lindsay Lohan may want to give Cory Monteith a call.
In his most candid interview ever, the Glee star has revealed that he once had a serious drug problem that led to a stint in rehab.

Insisting he's definitely "not" his television alter-ego Finn Hudson, Monteith tells Parade magazine, "I'm lucky on so many counts—I'm lucky to be alive."
Monteith, whose parents divorced when he was 7, dropped out of high school when was 16 after attending a dozen different schools. It didn't take long before his life was "out of control."
"Anything and everything, as much as possible," he says about his drug use at the time. "I had a serious problem."
At age 19, he went to rehab after his mom and some friends staged an intervention. But the first stint didn't stick. He went back to using.
Thing got worse.
"I stole a significant amount of money from a family member," he says. "I knew I was going to get caught but I was so desperate I didn't care. It was a cry for help. I was confronted and I said, 'Yeah, it was me.' It was the first honorable, truthful thing that had come out of my mouth in years."
The family member told Monteith to get clean or he'd be reported to the police.
Fortunately, he agreed to stop using. He moved to a small Canadian city, where he paid the rent as a roofer, but also took acting classes.
Now 29, Monteith says he's speaking out about his past to help others. "I don't want kids to think it's okay to drop out of school and get high, and they'll be famous actors, too."

The first time I interviewed Monteith on the set of Glee in September 2009, he admitted he didn't have a high school diploma. "It wasn't for me," he said of quitting school. "I can remember ever since about the sixth or seventh grade, I just didn't understand why I had to learn what I was learning. For some reason, there was a spirit of rebellion in me."
But this past spring, according to Parade, he received a high school diploma from an alternative school he attended back in Canada.
Bravo, Mr. Monteith, bravo!

You already know that the hot young stars of Teen Wolf have lots of onscreen sex.
But why are castmembers of the new MTV series getting handsy with each other between takes?

Ask Tyler Hoechlin, who often has to walk around set with fake nails and other uncomfortable werewolf prosthetics for the show.
"The thing that sucks [the nails] is eating and going to the bathroom," he tells us.
"Yeah, you can't pull up your zipper, so the guys would walk around set asking them to pull up their zippers," laughed costar Holland Roden. "They got  fresh and friendly quite quickly."
"We had to have wardrobe zip up our pants and stuff," added Hoechlin.
"When we were doing a fighting scene or something, when they would break off it would hurt a lot," Tyler Posey said. "Like for a second I would think that I ripped off my actual nail."
Their make-believe vision is also causing some problems.
"The contacts suck!" Hoechlin said. "The ironic thing is that when you're a werewolf, our vision is supposed to be better and it actually blinded me and Tyler, because you kind of just tunnel vision. Everything is blurred out and you have just a little center of focus where you can actually see."

Tracy Morgan Back in Nashville to Apologize for Anti-Gay Rant: "To Err Is Human"

Tracy Morgan returned to the scene of his infamous anti-gay rant.
The 30 Rock star was in Nashville earlier today meeting with local gay and transgender residents to apologize for his controversial performance earlier this month at the city's famed Ryman Auditorium.

"I want to apologize to my friends, my family and my fans," he said at a press conference at the Nashville Convention Center.
"I don't believe anyone should be bullied or made to feel bad about who they are," Morgan said. "I totally feel that in my heart. I really don't care who you love, same sex or not, as long as you have the ability to love. That's the important thing here."
On stage with Morgan was Kevin Rogers, the audience member at Morgan's show who first revealed the homophobic tirade in a post on his Facebook page, and Herndon Graddick, GLAAD's senior director of programs.
Rogers accepted the comic's apology. "I believe it was just a huge mistake," he said, according to The Tennessean newspaper.
"From the bottom of my heart I apologize to everybody who I offended with my words on stage in Nashville or anyone else," Morgan said, before adding, "To err is human, to forgive is divine."
Morgan's appearance comes just a few days after meeting with members of the gay community at the Ali Forney Center, a New York City organization for homeless LGBT youth.
"Tracy's remarks today have the power to reach millions with a message that gay and transgender youth should be met with support from families—not rejection or violence," Graddick said in a statement. "In a state like Tennessee where anti-gay laws continue to be passed, it's now more important than ever for allies like Tracy to speak out and let Tennesseans know that homophobia has no place on or off the stage."

Lisa Vanderpump cracked, "Anyone will do."
Kyle Richards took it a step further. "Anyone is better than Kelsey," she said with a big laugh.
"You know what?" Adrienne chimed in. "Even Giggy's better than Kelsey."
Ouch.
As for that other RHOBH drama—Kyle vs. sister Kim Richards—things seemed to have calmed down a bit. "We're in a better place now," Kyle said. "We still are very different, but we're friends. We can laugh and have fun again, which we were unable to do for so long."
We have a feeling Camille and Kelsey won't be saying the same—at least not anytime soon.

James Franco's Broken New Flick: "This Is Not Pineapple Express"

You probably won't be seeing James Franco's new movie The Broken Tower coming to a megamultiplex by you anytime soon.
Even the 127 Hours star knows that.
What went wrong? Nothing really. We'll let Mr. Franco explain...

Not only does Franco star in this dense black-and-white biopic about Hart Crane, a gay American poet who committed suicide at age 32 in 1932 by jumping off a steamship, but he also wrote and directed it. He's one of the producers, too.
"This is not Pineapple Express," the Oscar-nominated actor said the other night at the Los Angeles Film Festival screening of the movie. "[It's] a slow film on purpose. It's going to take a little patience but it's made that way on purpose. We really just wanted to explore this man, Hart Crane, in a way that I felt couldn't be done if it had been made it on a larger scale."
Broken costars Franco's brother, Dave, and Boardwalk Empire bad guy Michael Shannon. He was first inspired to develop the movie after reading Crane's autobiography about seven years ago.
"I didn't know how to make it," he said. "I remember doing interviews at that time and people would say, 'Well, who would you like to play?' and I'd say, 'Hart Crane'... I was waiting for somebody to make the movie, waiting to jump on board as the actor, and nobody did."
Despite his artsy-fartsy ways, Franco has no plans to abandon mainstream moviemaking. He stars in the upcoming reboot of Planet of the Apes. He's also gearing up to play the Wizard of Oz in Oz: The Great and Powerful.
"I never thought I'd play the Wizard of Oz," Franco told us. "[But] I truly was a huge fan of the Baum Oz books when I was a kid. I read all of them when I was a kid, and they were some of the first books I read on my own, so I have been a fan for over 20 years."

Joe Jonas Wants to Be a Movie Star, Too

Just because Joe Jonas has embarked on a solo singing career that doesn't mean he's given up on acting.
"I really hope to find a role that will be right," he told me the other day while promoting his debut single, "See No More."
He may not have to wait much longer...

"There's a role that I've been creating with my friend," Jonas said. "I've had this idea for a long time and, well, he's a famous movie producer so we're like, 'Let's just get a writer and make it happen.'
"So this writer and I have started working together," he continued. "He's doing a great job and really close to finishing the final draft. We'll see how the record plays out and then take two months to film the new movie."
For now, though, it really is about the music. Adele is on the top of Jonas' wish list of other artists he'd like to work with. "I've been a big fan of hers for a long time," he said. "She's unbelievable. She can just sit there and sing and she'll kill it."
On the other side of the spectrum is British rapper Tinie Tempah. "I think if anybody stole my iPod, they'd probably be upset because I'm so all over the place," he laughed.
Jonas recalls when—back in January 2010—he first told me he was thinking of pulling and Nick and going out on his own.
"I do remember that actually," he said. "I kept it under wraps for quite a while and then at the beginning of January I started really getting into it and started working with some producers and time just flew by."
At the height of recording, he put together 40 songs, which he eventually dwindled down to about 20. "Then we cut that down and cut that down until it was really a perfect product," Jonas said.
What happens to all those other tunes?
"They're out there for people," he said. "If an artist wants to use them that's kind of the idea, like somebody like [Australian teen pop star] Cody Simpson. It there's something that I might feel like, 'OK, this might be perfect for them,' I'll send it to them to see what they think and it's up to them to cut if they want."
Sounds like Cody Simpson may be hearing from Jonas any day now.

Hot Garrett Hedlund Talks Kristen Stewart, His Bromance With Andrew Garfield and More Tron

Garrett Hedlund is a man of (not) many words.
Even so, I did get the chance to chat with him at the Maui Film Festival, where he was honored with the Rising Star Award.

"The great thing about being a great actress is you can do everything and I think she can do anything she wants," Hedlund said when I asked about Stewart's upcoming turn as Snow White.
He laughed when I joked about him hitting her up for a Twilight gig. "No, I never asked her for a part," he said. "Which part would I ask her for?" As Hedlund first told me in December, "[Stewart] was signed on to the movie before the first Twilight ever hit theaters. She's so good and she's so devoted. She's such an incredibly hard worker."
In the pic, based on Jack Keourac's Beat Generation classic of the same name and directed by Walter Salles, Hedlund plays the character based on the late Neal Cassady. Hedlund and Salles recently met Carolyn Cassady, Neal's second wife. "It was an era that changed so many people's lives in the last 50 years or so," Hedlund said. "It was a movement that was powerful and I feel so privileged to be a part of the film."
Another film he could certainly be a part of is the sequel to the Tron reboot. It was recently announced that a script was being written for a potential follow-up. When I asked if Hedlund if he wanted to revisit his role as Sam Flynn, Hedlund wouldn't say, but flashed me a very big smile.
We also laughed about the so-called "bromance" he was having with fellow festival honoree Andrew Garfield in Hawaii. "He's so annoying," Hedlund cracked. "No, he's such a great person. I've known him for a couple of years now."
The paparazzi may have been all over their Maui excursions, but they failed to get the money shot. "They didn't get us paddle boarding," Hedlund said about the long-lensed shutterbugs. "At one point, he hugged me and he was like, 'Let the paps get this!'"

Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield are more than just friendly costars in the upcoming Spider-Man reboot, according to Us Weekly.
If this is true, I am so loving them as a couple. While Garfield didn't spill the beans about the possible relationship when I caught up with him on Saturday at the Maui Film Festival, he certainly didn't hesitate to gush over Ms. Stone.

"She's incredibly sweet, funny, down to earth, genuine, doesn't take herself seriously in any way shape or form," he said, adding, "She has that in buckets."
And then there's Stone's talent. "I think she's really gone...deeper than I've ever seen her," Garfield said about her Spidey work. "I was blown away by working with her and watching her work [and] her presence on set."
Can't wait to see the onscreen chemistry between these two.

While engaged couple Vanessa Minnillo and Nick Lachey are keeping the details of their wedding "hush hush," we do have some info on the former 98 Degrees singer's bachelor party.
Nick's big bro and best man Drew Lachey is hinting what the groom-to-be may expect for his last night of "freedom."

"You know, we're a little bit older now and wiser now, so it won't be as blown out and chaotic as it might have been in the past," Drew said.
While Nick has insisted that he will not be singing on the big day, Drew is open to warbling out a tune or two.
"I have sung at people's weddings before, friends and family," he said. "So, if they ask me to sing, I would be honored to sing. I am a singer, so it's kind of one of those things, if somebody asks, I'm obligated to oblige."
As for that embarrassing Best Man toast?
"Well, I kind of wing these things," he said. "If I think there needs to be a little humor added to the night, I'll try and add a little humor."

Scriptwriter Of ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana’ Is On Cloud Nine

January 28, 2011: Jasvinder Singh Bath turned scriptwriter with Yamla Pagla Deewana starring Dharmendra, Sunny and Bobby Deol. Jasvinder is elated with the commercial success of the film. Jasvinder finds the all adulation hard to believe. Jasvinder commented that it feels like a dream and he is at his wit’s end that whether all the hype surrounding the film is for real. Jasvinder finds it hard to accept the fact that he has penned the script for the Deol’s Yamla Pagla Deewana which went on to become a huge hit.

Jasvinder recalls the experience of shooting the film with the Deol’s at Hotel Mount View’s Coffee Shop. Jasvinder added that shooting has been a memorable experience and it was like a family outing .Jasvinder remarked that the Deol’s made the whole experience of working with them was fun and they made sure that the crew put in their best for the film.

Jasvinder was a student of mass communication from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata and his first short film Interval Part 2 bagged the best film category among various colleges that had competed. Later on, Jasvinder went on to work as an intern for Chandraprakash Diwedi who made the film Pinjar.

Jasvinder left for Mumbai to try his luck and he worked for NDTV’s Angrezi Main Kehte Hain and also worked as an assistant director with Ashwini Chaudhary and Diwedi. Jasvinder wrote the entire script of Yamla Pagla Deewana when Sunny gave him the concept behind the film. The aim was to get back to the era of 1970’s and to celebrate Dharmendra’s fifty years in the industry. Jasvinder is keeping his fingers crossed to pen the sequel to Yamla Pagla Deewana. Jersey Shore: Recap – Sammi No Longer Wants To Fight – Gets Physical With Ronnie

January 28, 2011: The last episode of Jersey Shore saw many things going on but primarily it was Sammi and Ronnie saga. It is not new that these two often fight and scream at each other but the last episode witnessed a new turn of events where Sammi had hit Ronnie on the face.

Sammi and others were at the club and while she was fully tipsy the girl started accusing Ronnie of touching other girls. So when Sammi left the room, furious Ronnie decided to take his frustration off on Sammi’s clothes by strewing the floor with them. He then left the room and was seen crying when J-Woww consoled Ronnie in spite of their edgy relationship from the last season.

Seeing Ronnie and J-Woww together, Sammi got more infuriated and ended hitting her boyfriend hard across the face. Well it might not have been that hard but hitting someone during a fight is not the right thing to do. But later on Sammi apologized to Ronnie and begged for another chance and was forgiven and almost everyone saw that coming. So instead of leaving the house as Sammi threatened Ronnie, she is still with her boyfriend and has also decided to make-up with J-Woww.

Sammi went on to say that she no longer wants to have a “mean bone” in her system, so while the episode ended at an happy note, the pre-cap showed that Ronnie and Sammi will end up fighting all over again in the next episode. One just hopes to see more of Vinny, Mike, Snooki, Pauly D to get the dose of fun that Jersey Shore offers.

Annu Kapoor, Durga Jasraj team up again to host TV show

New Delhi, Jan 28 – After popular music show ‘Antakshari’, Annu Kapoor and Durga Jasraj are set to recreate the same magic as the hosts of the new show ‘Idea Jalsa – Music for the Soul’ on Zee TV.

Conceived and produced by Durga’s company Art & Artistes’ (I) Pvt. Ltd, ‘Music for Soul’ is a performance based show which will bring together legendary music exponents and new talents to provide a diverse presentation of the rich and varied forms of Indian music.

‘Idea Jalsa – Music for the Soul’ show will go on air Feb 6 and the inaugural episode will see a performance by Santoor maestro Shivkumar Sharma.

Both Annu and Durga became hugely popular as hosts of music show ‘Antakshari’ in the early 1990s. The show ran for 10 years.

Colin Firth set to be knighted

Washington, Mar 4 – Colin Firth may soon be knighted, thanks to his splendid performance in ‘The King’s Speech’.

The 50-year-old actor portrayed Queen Elizabeth’s father King George VI in the movie, and the royal family are said to be so impressed with his performance they are considering making him a Sir.

“Colin has been a great ambassador for Britain throughout his career and his sensitive portrayal of King George VI has won him much admiration among the royal family – and of course, the film’s many fans,” Contactmusic quoted a source as telling the Daily Mail.

Although the Buckingham Palace hasn’t confirmed the rumour, Firth will learn if he has made the cut the week before the Queen’s Birthday Honours list is announced in June.

A source said, “The Queen loves a good film. ‘The King’s Speech’ is close to the bone as it is a portrayal of her family in the 1930s. But she found it moving and enjoyable. She was clearly amused by some of the lighter moments.” (ANI)

TNT Offers Apology For Tracy Morgan’s Inappropriate Comment On Sarah Palin

January 28, 2011: American actor Tracy Morgan has earned some public wrath on Thursday when he made some suggestive comment on former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin. He was speaking at ‘Inside the NBA’ during a cameo appearance.

TNT was shocked like the viewers and thus came asking for ‘apology’. The unfortunate incident took place during a pre-game chat when the comedian was asked by TNT’s Kenny Smith asked him to choose between Tina Fey and Sarah Palin.

The ‘30 Rock star’ actor could not answer the simple question in a simple way. Morgan said that he thinks Sarah Palin is a good masturbation material with those glasses and all others. The hosts laughed it aside for the moment but it earned the actor wrath of millions, who even threatened him.

TNT said that the incident was very unfortunate and they sincere apologize for Morgan’s lack of judgment on air. They issued apology for the inappropriate comment of the actor on their show.

Well, Morgan’s comment was not unusual provided it was not said publicly because Palin is known for her sensual looks. However, Morgan went to the extreme extent declaring it on air.

The apology from TNT came within minutes through a spokesperson. If Morgan had simply chosen anyone between Tina Fey and Sarah Palin, things would not have gone to this extent.

January 28, 2011: Zee TV’s popular show ‘Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo’ is undergoing a crucial phase where the lead character Laali (Ratan Rajput) has lost her mental balance and is suffering from dual personality disorder. Things have been made worse for her by Siddheswari’s sister doctor Surabhi, who has entered the haveli of Thakurs to take revenge of her sister’s untimed death.

Now, Shekhar (Abhishek Rawat), has been able to find out the reason behind Laali’s physical and mental condition. So, he is trying to keep her safe from Surabhi and her evil intentions. He has brought Surabhi’s truth in front of everyone. Now, he is taking help of a ‘tantrik’, who will cure Laali in a way, which was seen in the Bollywood movie Bhul Bhulaiya. The technique was used to treat Vidya Balan’s character.

Laali sometimes thinks herself being Siddheswari and wants to kill Shekhar because she does not want him to be of someone else after her death. In the last episode, we have seen Laali chasing Shekhar with a weapon but it was planned by Shekhar and Tantrik with the help of Gangiya and Jamuni.

So, watch out tonight’s episode to know if Laali comes out of her illness or does she really end up harming Shekhar.

TV executives fear Charlie Sheen will ‘end up dead’

Melbourne, Jan 28 – TV executives are reportedly worried about Charlie Sheen’s fate because of his self-destructive behavior.

The ‘Two and a Half Men’ star is in hospital receiving treatment after a reported cocaine bender involving porn stars at his LA home, reports the Daily Telegraph.

The star’s behaviour is causing considerable angst for the CBS network employers who are seriously concerned about his wellbeing, said an industry source.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, CBS execs have “been waiting for a trigger to get the actor to seek professional help.”

Everyone at the network is “afraid Charlie will end up dead. It is literally day by day,” a source said.

Another source claimed, “If (Charlie) did anything to delay production or put it in jeopardy, they’d shut it down and try to force him to go to rehab.” (ANI)

Daya out of ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 4′

New Delhi, Jan 28 – Actor Daya Shetty, known for his role in the crime thriller ‘C.I.D.’, is the latest celebrity who has been voted out of the dance reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 4'.

Daya and his choreographer Vrushali couldn’t perform in the last week’s episode due to the actor’s back problem. However unlike other eliminated contestants Daya got a chance to perform in front of the judges on the day of his elimination.

According to a source, on the demand of judges Madhuri Dixit, Malaika Arora Khan and Remo D’Souza, Daya and his choreographer performed on the hit number ‘Ayo re ayo re’, and even got standing ovation not only from the judges but also from the audience.

To add to this, an overjoyed Remo told Daya that ‘C.I.D.’ and Sony should consider introducing a Robot Cop and Daya should play that role in the show.

So far Anushka Manchanda, Renuka Shahane, Akhil Kumar and Krushna Abhishek have been eliminated, while Yana Gupta and Ankita Lokhande are back in the show as wild card entries.

The episode featuring Daya’s elimination will be aired Monday on Sony.

Kareena Kapoor’s Food Poisoning Delays The Production Of ‘Bodyguard’

Bebo had a bout of food poisoning. Kareena was shooting in Pune when she suddenly started feeling unwell. Kareena had to take bed rest for her condition and the shooting had to be halted.

Kareena is paired opposite to Salman Khan in the movie Bodyguard. The film is made on the lines of a Malayalam film which bears the same name. The film is by Siddique while Salman Khan’s brother- in- law Atul Agnihotri and his wife Alvira Agnihotri are the producers of the film. Pritam Chakraborty has been roped in for the music in the film. In this film Salman dons a different look altogether. It will be a far cry from what he has done in his blockbuster hit Dabbang.

Kareena will be essaying the role of a don’s daughter who is a college goer. Kareena also sports a different look in the film as she goes traditional for the film. Kareena wears a lot of Pakistani kurtas with oxidized jewellery. Designer Manish Malhotra is trying to get Karenna’s look in the film right. Manish has even scouted for accessories in Pune, Delhi and Mumbai. Manish feels that Kareena will be a trendsetter with her ethnic look in the film.

News are doing the rounds that the makers plan to release Bodyguard on August 27.However with Bebo’s condition the production of the movie will be delayed.

Karan has been trying to get Ajay on his couch for the last two seasons and succeeded only this time around and the Golmaal actor has been nothing less than a riot and a shocker at the talk show. He has gone on to give some
amazing answers at the show and without an iota of shyness Ajay gave the advice of Saifeena not to marry.

Well the media houses and the tabloids have started speculating the reasons on why Devgn decided to impart that kind of advice when he is married to Kajol for over a decade now. A source says that there is not much to read in what Ajay said as it was just part of fun and nothing serious into it.

But knowing Karan Johar, will he let such a remark pass-by just like that without prying into getting some more details about it, only the show can divulge more, since none of the
celebrities associated with the comment responded when asked. Even SOL’s managing director Fazila Allana, the show’s producer declined to comment on Ajay’s advice to Saifeena.

One thing that everyone says that Ajay was a blast at the talk show and in spite of being the sole guest, the episode is going to be an amazing one.

Ali Landry’s ex Mario Lopez had sex in stag party

Melbourne, Feb 14 – Actor Mario Lopez has revealed that he had sex with a woman on his bachelor party before marrying actress and former Miss USA, Ali Landry.

Their marriage was annulled after two weeks amid rumours of Lopez’s rampant cheating.

Lopez and Landry had been long-time lovers when they married in April 2004.

Now, almost seven years later, 37-year-old actor has confessed that he cheated on her on his wild bachelor party weekend in Mexico.

“It was my bachelor party,” the Daily Telegraph quoted Lopez as telling US radio, saying that he had been “bouncing around” Mexico with his cousins.

“I had no business of being in that position,” he said, offering that he “messed around” with another woman.

“It was spring break … everybody was hanging out. That was a situation where I was not mature and man enough,” he said.

Before heading out for his big weekend, Lopez didn’t tell then-fiancee Landry the whole truth.

“I said I was going to Cabo (San Lucas) … to go marlin fishing,” he said.

“Then my cousin surprised me and said ‘No, … we’re going on this whirlwind tour: Cabo, Acapulco, all these places.’

“I figured at that point it was easier to ask for forgiveness (afterward). It’s my bachelor party, we were going to have a good time. And we went, we had a good time,” he said.

At the time Lopez was caught in an incriminating poolside photograph with another woman.

“We’re partying, and somebody took a picture,” he said.

But Landry’s sister eventually got a hold of that photo and shared it with her.

“I was wrong for obviously lying, and I shouldn’t have been in that position,” Lopez added. (ANI)

Shah Rukh Khan To Turn Professor For Karan Johar’s ‘Student Of The Year’

January 28, 2011: No one can imagine Karan Johar directing a movie, which does not have his close buddy Shah Rukh Khan in it. So, when he released the first look of his next film Student of the Year, everyone raised eyebrows as it does not show the credit of SRK.

Starting from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, which was Karan’s directorial debut, King Khan was part of all his directorial projects, the latest being My Name Is Khan. So, Karan cannot give a miss to his buddy in his upcoming movie too that has some newcomers in main roles.

The first look showed the new faces Aaliya Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Siddharth Malhotra. Everyone was taken aback by the absence of SRK. However, the latest reports suggest that Shah Rukh will be definitely part of the project and he will turn professor for this movie. He has done it in 2000 for the movie Mohabbatein. Now, after more than 10 years, SRK will be seen in the same avatar of a professor, who is loved by his students.

However, Karan is working hard on SRK’s role to make it look quite different and powerful. He does not want SRK fans to get the old wine in a new bottle. Apart from appearing in this film, SRK is also co-producing the movie. We hope he does not have only a special appearance and is seen in a major role.

Viacom18 to release nine films in 2011-12

Mumbai, Feb 14 – Viacom18 Motion Pictures has nine films on its slate for 2011-12. The company has plans for 10 to 12 movies, nine of which have already been finalised and are at various stages of development and production, an official said.

The banner will open its offerings for the year with rom-com ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ releasing Feb 25, followed by two films that are co-productions with Anurag Kashyap – ‘Michael’ (Working Title) and ‘Shaitan’.

Other films include ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’, ‘Buddah’, ‘Chasme Badoor’ and ‘Players’ among others.

‘Our release slate for the next year is a reflection of our direction in the Indian film industry – to establish a significant presence across various spectrums of this business,’ Vikram Malhotra, chief operating officer of Viacom 18 Motion Pictures, said in a statement.

‘We have an unparalleled slate for this year, with films that span diverse genres right from romantic comedies to action, from thrillers to drama,’ he added.

Another new initiative is the launch of Viacom 18 Motion Pictures’ new brand ‘Tipping Point Films,’ that will cater to the evolving sensibilities of the urban Indian youth by offering edgy and engaging film content to this audience segment, the statement added.
