We'll get to Lady Gaga's battle with Target in a moment, but first we have an update on the hitmaker's so-called feud with Madonna.
Sure, there was that whole "Born This Way" vs. "Express Yourself" brouhaha, but Lady Gaga says it's all good...

"There's no drama, there's no jealousy, there's no competition," Gaga says in the new issue of The Advocate when asked about being compared to Madge and another gay icon, Barbra Streisand. "They're just happy to see other women winning."
Gaga even refers to the legends as her "sisters."
"I feel so connected to Madonna in a lot of ways, and I feel connected to Barbra, and I feel connected to Cher and Blondie and all of the women who came before me," she tells writer Jeremy Kinser. "I worshipped them my whole life, and I would never be where I am today without all of them to inspire me. I feel so grateful that I have such strong women to look up to."
She insists that she's still not ready to follow in their acting footsteps. "Maybe someday," Gaga says. "Right now I'm just really focused on this record. I really love making music. I know that sounds crazy, but I'm obsessed...obsessed with music."
And obsessed with fighting for equal rights and social justice. It's why she pulled out of a potentially lucrative deal with Target after execs at the shopping giant failed to assure her of their commitment to gay charities and organizations. "Taking an ambiguous stance is not what I'm about, obviously," Gaga explains. "I like to go right for the ass-kicker. You're either in or you're out. I'm from New York. I know bulls--t. I can smell it from a mile away."
